By no means is this a sob story, its not a "I've always been the fat girl" story. I haven't, I have always been that girl with the great personality, the nice smile, so tall you carry your weight so well, best friend material for guys but not quite "girlfriend" material, and "you have such a tiny waist you carry it all in your hips". The list goes on, they aren't negatives, they are the political correct ways of pussy footing around my size.
Met my now husband in 1996, moved to the Gold Coast, changed my life completely. Stopped University, got a basic job in retail, and enjoyed a fun life with my new man & new friends. Before you know it along came the wedding, 1999 baby 1, 2002 baby 2, 2007 oops we did it again. Over this time, I had gym memberships, w w memberships, Chemist Shake Diets.... I tried everything to get back to where I wanted to be.
2007/8 - I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation - basically its like a tango beat of your heart...mine would only happen every now and again, but every time it did my heart was growing weaker.....eventually it could possibly lead to Cardiomyopathy. (and we have all seen Beaches and know what that means!)

| July 2010 - Out Whale Watching |
April 2011 - A close friend aged 40 dies suddenly without warning of a major heart attack.
January to July 2012 - gained my first contract position as a Teacher Aide, first fulltime day job in 15 years! so that finally got me away from the stay at home fridge..... and has assisted me to learn about work life balance, training, and nutrition. Competed in a few races, and even did some running at the 5.7km GC Marathon.
