Can I just say it was cold, but the warm welcome from Ian Verrico and the StepInto Life Labrador members made it all worthwhile. Time ticked on, and we were off to destination Broadwater. I was lucky to meet another great chick called Ady & before we knew it we were chatting like old friends. I love learning, and it was excellent to be taught by Ian the basics of Walking and Running. Listening to him talk about the levels, and the techniques... made me understand intensity even more. ![]() | |

The group had multi levels - but we were still a team. It was such a great feeling when the lead runners would run to us for turn arounds (as we were the last ones on the line), many met us with encouragement and hi 5's. At no time did we feel alone.....which is so important. We used structures like lamp posts, seats, pine trees to run to then walk from. Before we knew it we were at Lands End Bridge! All up about 6.65km including the special heartbreak Coral Ave....I will feel that tomorrow! Stats wise: Polar tells me it was 1 hr 7 minutes, 545 Cal. My head tells me: That was fun and I feel HAPPY!
I ended up having breakfast with my great friend and colleage Shell, as we had not seen each other for a few days it was an overdue catchup. I just love how our conversations are so lifting. Smiles beaming, happy thoughts, it was just as the doctor ordered. It was also great to meet some people who within a moment had us all chatting like old friends. Small world alert.... they funnily enough ended up being some of Ian's original members at Step Into Life. I was also lucky to catch up with one of my idols in education and health fitness, this person changed her stars & is a healthy / wise lady, her constant encouragement keeps me honest.
Believe it!! Next session: Monday night.... :)
